Why we don't publish numbers: brokerage bookkeeping pricing depends on premium volume, producer count, agency bill versus direct bill mix, and reporting depth. Two brokerages with similar revenue can have very different scopes. We'd rather scope it correctly on a 30-minute call than mislead you with a teaser price.

What determines which package you land in

Brokerage bookkeeping scope varies more than most industries. These are the factors we look at when scoping an engagement.

Premium volume and transaction count

Higher premium volume means more billing transactions, more carrier payments to match, and more entries to reconcile each month. Volume is the primary size signal.

Agency bill vs. direct bill mix

Agency bill is more complex — the brokerage collects premium, holds it in trust, and remits to the carrier. Heavy agency-bill books require carrier statement reconciliation and premiums-payable scheduling. Direct-bill-only brokerages have a simpler scope.

Number of producers and commission splits

Each producer with a custom split adds to the monthly commission accounting. Brokerages with several producers and tiered splits sit in a higher tier than single-producer shops.

Number of carriers and insurer statements

More carriers means more statements to reconcile each month. Brokerages placing business with many carriers, or with complex insurer remittance schedules, require more reconciliation time.

Applied Epic setup state

Engagements where the Applied Epic accounting module is already configured and clean are faster to run than those where we need to set up the chart of accounts, GL mapping, or reconciliation configuration from scratch.

Reporting depth

Base packages include a monthly close package. Brokerages that need revenue broken down by line, by producer, and by carrier — or that need lender-ready or acquirer-ready statements — sit in the Growth or Enterprise tier.

What's not in our packages — and why

We're brokerage-only, and we respect independence. Some things you might expect from a generalist firm are deliberately out of scope.

Audit and review engagements

We do not perform assurance work for our own clients. Independence matters; that work is done by separate licensed public accounting firms. We prepare your file so the engagement is efficient.

Personal income tax returns

Our scope is the brokerage, not the individuals running it. We refer personal tax to firms that specialize in it.
